Our last wedding of 2012 and it was back to the lovely Gate Street Barn with Grant and Katie. What an eventful wedding!
For a start the weather was wet. Really, really wet and very dull. We’re often asked by couples what do we do if it rains on the wedding day and how we cope with the weather. Our jovial answer is usually ‘It’s not a problem because we just stay at home!’ but in all seriousness it can be a challenge. This is especially the case, such as on Saturday, when the ground is all wet and the bride has a beautiful, delicate dress that naturally she wants to look her best in all day and not get dirty. Fortunately, Gate Street Barn has some good indoor locations and Saturday gave Capture It the chance to use them to the full.
The other question we’re sometimes asked is ‘What happens if one of you is ill on the wedding day?” Sadly due to illness, Sarah was confined to her bed on Saturday. In 14 years of business this is only the 2nd time this has happened!! However, to the rescue came the fantastic Maree Lock of Reflections Photography a true friend and a great photographer. She was able to step in at the last minute and work with Richard so that the couple could still have a full story of the day. We love her images and she and Richard work so well together.
The day started with the guys getting ready at the Radisson Blu in Guildford which is fast becoming a regular on our blog, then onto Gate Street for the rest of the day. The evening entertainment was provided by the ever brilliant Rollercoaster who are so good at getting guests on the dance floor.
We hope you enjoy our favourites from the day.
