Wedding photography allows us to go to some beautiful venues and make friends with wonderful people. Saturday’s wedding with Tom & Jana epitomised that for us.
Here are 28 of our favourite images. It amazes us that when we first started out as wedding photographers about 11 years ago, we used a medium format camera and provided 30 prints mounted in an album. Now we are showing that sort of number of images as favourites on our blog. It’s really exciting to have been in wedding photography during a revolution in equipment, technique and, above all, style.
The ceremony was held in a tiny chapel in privately owned ground on top of a hill. It was, therefore, one of the most exclusive wedding venues we’ve ever photographed. There were wonderful country views all around.
This next shot shows you how tiny the chapel was. There was only room for about 20 or so people inside with everybody else watching from outside through a window that made up one wall.
The couple had a horse and carriage to take them to the reception.
We grabbed this next shot through our car window as we overtook the couple.
The speeches were funny as usual but also moving.
After the speeches, we went outside by the water to make the best of the beautifully warm light from the setting sun.
