What a phenomenal wedding at Coombe Lodge!! We’re thrilled with Saturday’s photos and struggled to keep the number of favourites down to a number that would load in a browser.

As we made our way back from Blagdon in Somerset, we tried to analyse why we had such a good time at the wedding. Was it the weather? Nope. Overall the weather was quite dull and cold although the wind made for great veil shots and the sunset was gorgeous.

Was it the wedding venue? Partly, yes. We’ve never worked at Coombe Lodge before and so we were thrilled to find so many excellent views and locations for photography. The staff at Coombe Lodge are among the very best we’ve ever come across. They are all intelligent, helpful and caring. In the morning before the wedding, Sara gave us an extensive tour and pointed out the photo opportunities. For the rest of the wedding, Eric was always there to support, organise and direct in a kind and professional manner. It was Eric who spotted the sunset and ran to tell us to make sure we’d noticed it.

But the main reason we had such a great time and love our job so much was because Harry and Natasha are wonderful people. Elsewhere on this site we stress how important it is for the couple to just enjoy the day, enjoy each other’s company, relax and trust their wedding photographers. Harry & Natasha did exactly that. We photograph emotion and you can see excitement, love and happiness in the couple’s eyes from the first photo through to the last. They trusted us completely so when we said, “Quick; the light’s fantastic!” they came immediately. When we asked them to hold still in the cold at night for a long exposure shot they did that too without complaining.

So, Harry and Natasha we want to thank you very much and hope that you are as delighted with the photos as we are.
