Hannah and Alex did just that and threw a fantastic party and a wonderful wedding celebration. Not a small feat seeing as they had just a few months to organise it. Full marks have to go to Philippa, Hannah’s mum who worked tirelessly behind the scenes with great success.

You may recognise Hannah as just a few months earlier she was a bridesmaid for her sister Martha. It was lovely to see the family again and enjoy meeting Alex’s relatives, especially flower girl Matilda who provided us with endless photo opportunities and was a star all day.

We just want to say a big thank you to everyone for making us feel so welcome and we hope you enjoy our favourite images.

The wedding day was full of emotion and love and we were so glad to be there to capture all those little moments. We also got to work with I-do Wedding films again who are excellent videographers and highly recommended.

Grant and Caroline live in Australia, in fact they actually have a house on Manly Beach, Sydney – a far cry from the leafy suburbs of Surrey. They are having another big party on their return to Australia with friends and family and we hope it goes as well as the one here. We also hope that one day we’ll get to visit them in Sydney!!

But the exterior of Clandon Park is also wonderful for wedding photography. The cloud formation at sunset gave us the opportunity for some very dramatic shots at the front of the house.

There was such a relaxed feel at the wedding and all the couple’s hard work before the wedding paid off as the day went very smoothly.

The children at the wedding were full of character and it was great to see them thoroughly enjoying the wedding day. It made for some great photo moments.

That well known pre-wedding combination of Gin & Tonic with banana to keep the groom nourished throughout the day!

Cath is originally from Australia and many of her friends and family were visiting from ‘down under’. We were so glad that the sun was shining so they got to fully enjoy the beautiful grounds at Warren House.

So much care and attention had gone into the day including an Australian treat selection, which had various Aussie sweets and biscuits. Plus Paul is a bit of a rugby fan which shows in the brilliant cake topper.

We also stopped off at Richmond Hill for some photos as it’s a really special place for the couple. The deer were posing nicely in the park as we drove though.

Richard and Lara’s wedding was full of fun and entertainment. We were especially impressed with their choice of garden games. We haven’t seen a crazy golf course at a wedding before and it brought back great memories, plus some good friendly rivalry from the couple. Lara won if anyone is interested!!

There were also amazing illusions provided by Simon Alexander www.simonalexander.net.

Lara started the day at the very picturesque Slade’s Farm which created a really relaxing morning. All day long it was so good to see familiar faces with the make-up and hair arranged by Antonia of www.elleaunaturel.com.

The bride travelled in a beautiful Armstrong Siddeley car from Brian of Bluebells and at the reception the yummy food was served by Tandem Catering www.tandemcatering.co.uk. To round the whole day off the music was performed by the excellent Rollercoaster www.rollercoasterband.co.uk. You really can’t go wrong with such a great group of wedding suppliers.

They started the day with a toast from Chris, dinner for a few guests, garden games for the children and then a party with lots more friends in the evening. Sarah especially loves Lesley’s dress which was from the fabulous bridal boutique graceofwestcott.com.

The ceremony was held in the Pheasantry with most of the guests outside enjoying the countryside. It’s the first time Gate Street has had this particular layout and it was a huge success.

Rather than choosing fancy shoes Lorraine wore fantastic boots from Vandevorst and she had one more surprise, a unique arrival in a helicopter!! The Bride, her dad and nephew flew out of Dunsfold airport, where the Top Gear track is, and landed in the field just behind the barn. The guests were very impressed as were the cattle who very kindly allowed their field to be used for the landing!!

We also love the couple’s place names and favours a friend made each ceramic cup with the guests name on and each one had a herb ready for planting. All lovingly arranged by the excellent www.kalmkitchen.co.uk.

We’ve noticed at weddings that nearly everyone is initially confused on how to tie a cravat. Cravat designs, lengths and widths vary tremendously. So we were very impressed when the father of the bride, Roger, did the sensible thing and watched a video on YouTube to remind himself of the correct procedure. What did we do before the internet?

We thought Cara looked amazing in her Jenny Packham wedding dress and when we went to the top of Richmond Hill for some photos from the viewpoint, passers-by and tourists were all shouting congratulations.

Since we were at the Bingham Hotel a few years ago, they have made some very stylish changes. The style along with the truly excellent service makes this one of the best weddings venues in the area which we are happy to recommend. Here is their website: www.thebingham.co.uk
