So here are our favourites from Rhys and Tizzy’s wedding. We love all our weddings but this one was extra special, lots of friends around, a beautiful setting and a wonderful couple who were a joy to photograph.

For a change we thought we’d start with the guys getting ready!!

A very proud Dad!

We couldn’t resist stopping off on the way to the ceremony for a shot by these wonderful rapeseed fields. The colours worked together so well.

As well as walking her up the aisle, Tizzy’s Dad John gave a brilliant wedding talk.

Then we went to the beautiful grounds at Beech Court Gardens.

And to finish off the day John also gave an excellent speech.

The nearby playground proved irresistible!

The evening light was incredible so we had to take a few more pictures.

Then onto the dancing.

Now some of our eagle eyed fans may recognise one of these bridesmaids; on the left is Ellie-May who’s wedding to Joe we photographed last year. Ellie-May is also sister to the groom. However, she’s dramatically changed her hair colour and many of the guests, including Sarah at the beginning of the day, didn’t recognise her at all as it’s such a transformation. It was lovely to see her and her family again.

Proof that babies can sleep anywhere when they need too (even a noisy dance floor)!!

Steph looked absolutely gorgeous all day.

Along with the beautiful photos we were able to do some ‘tongue in cheek’ shots.

One of the things that made us friends with Steph & Si was their appreciation for our use of flare. So here’s a deliberate flare shot.

Rant coming: When we say to couples that the light is right now we mean NOW! Here are some photos of beautiful countryside, phenomenal evening light and a great couple who came THEN!

Steph & Si are very literate and had taken the time to write out an iindividually selected quote on the reverse of everyone’s place card.

They had also given everyone an engraved shot glass full of sweets to take home.

And how cool is it to not only have the groom play in a rock band but to have his father join him on stage!

Steph and Si thanks for being so wonderful for us, we love you very much and wish you every blessing.

This next shot truly isn’t posed.

Canterbury has some great cafes and bars to enjoy before the big event. One of the ushers remarked that it was a bit weird having a beer at 11 o’clock in the morning but it didn’t seem to hinder his enjoyment of it.

The crypt at Canterbury is, as you’d expect, a very dark place to try and take photos. Our cameras were pushed to the limit. However, it did mean that we got some incredibly atmospheric images.

Outside it was very bright and a beautiful day.

We did our best to make full use of the wonderful architecture.

Priyan and Hester’s first dance was a classic. Here’s Priyan taking his jacket off – John Travolta style.

Rebekah was more worried about being on time than any other bride we’ve met – so here she is walking down the aisle one minute after 12!!

Then we went to Rochester Castle for the reception and some great couple shots:

After the ceremony we went to Barham Court for the reception.  The grounds are stunning and the views breathtaking.

And of course we had to take advantage of Barham Court in the evening.

However, we think that maybe these 2 bridesmaids are taking it all a bit too seriously!

Later, this is Martin seeing his beautiful bride for the first time.

The reception was at Knowle Country House which is an excellent venue (and the food is incredible).

See what we mean about the food? This is when Stacey is faced with a massive dilema.

Happily, a decision is made and all ends well.

Our friends Chris & Donna and Matt & Lindsay were there on Saturday. We shot Chris & Donna’s wedding in October ’03 and Matt & Lindsay’s in April ’05.

The band and the dancing were excellent fun!

It was one of the happiest weddings we’ve ever been to.

Without doubt, it was the most colourful!

The weather was fabulous and the light was just right for photography.

Sarah’s ability to hover 8 feet off the ground really helped with this shot.

The marquee was also full of wonderful colour.

The flower girl Sarah is completely bonkers and had a great time on the bouncy castle.

According to the best man Ryan, Barclay’s diet had consisted of whatever was available from the bargain counter at Tescos. So Ryan knew exactly what to get him as a wedding present.

We wish every blessing for Barclay & Annice and want to say thanks for one of the funniest, happiest and joyful weddings ever.
