Rassi & Anna’s wedding at Syon Park House, London

Saturday’s wedding turned out to be very emotional indeed. When Rassi saw his beautiful bride walking down the aisle he was overwhelmed.

Jonathan has to have been to the most organised usher of all time.

We loved Anna’s choice of contrasting pink bridesmaid dresses.

Rassi’s speech was excellent and very well received.

The incredible lighting and entertainment was provided by Yes Events. We love it when we can work with Nick, Tom and their team.

Ross & Natalie’s wedding at Gate Street Barn, Bramley, Surrey

We were at Gate Street Barn on Friday for Ross & Natalie’s wedding. It was so nice to be back at this lovely venue and to work with some of our favourite wedding suppliers: Elle Au Naturel, Tandem Catering, Bluebell Cars and Chess Disco.

The day started with a little rain but cleared in plenty of time for Natalie’s arrival at the church.

Natalie’s hair and makeup was by the very talented Antonia Krieger.

We’re not sure who or what he’s photographing but it’s bound to be a great shot!!

I love this shot of the signing by Richard:

We also had the pleasure of working again with Brian from Bluebells Cars, one of our favourite chauffeurs:

Natalie’s Mum’s speech was wonderful with a very moving story from Natalie’s schooldays.

See what we mean!

Then it was best man Chris’ job to lighten the mood!

A great end to a fantastic day with the music provided by Chris from Chess Disco:

Chris & Rebecca’s wedding at Fanham’s Hall Hotel, Hertfordshire

Chris and Rebecca were keen on us getting some photos around Fanhams Hall before the ceremony. Wedding photography is often a mix of disciplines including sports (when they run down the aisle), landscape, and portraiture etc. Very rarely is it wildlife so we’re really pleased with this shot.

We hope Doreen forgives us for this shot but we just think it’s funny.

Here the bridesmaids take lessons from Katy Perry on how to walk down the aisle.

Meanwhile:

As a surprise for Chris, Rebecca arranged for this classic Shelby Mustang Cobra GT 500 to take him to Fanhams.

Not sure what it is but he seems very excited to see it!

Kevin J Flannery was at the wedding performing some pretty impressive card tricks.

And Andrew Harvey a.k.a. ‘Mister H’ was the excellent informal compere. If you want someone to organise things but don’t want the pomp and ceremony of a toastmaster then Mr H is the guy to get. You can contact Andy here: www.mrhproductions.co.uk

Best man Craig got a standing ovation for his speech!

Andy & Claire’s wedding at Ham Polo Club, Surrey

A discussion of the weather at a wedding is frequently mentioned in our blog posts. It is one of the things that couples worry about the most. They wonder if they can still enjoy the wedding if it’s pouring down with rain. Well, the weather at this wedding went from one extreme to another. We had light rain in the morning, brilliant sunshine for about 40 minutes in the afternoon and torrential rain during the early part of the evening.

The answer is yes, you can still have a brilliant wedding whatever the weather, as you’ll see from our favourite photos here:

Can you see the dark clouds in the background?

Claire and her father enjoy a quiet drink together as they wait for the car to return and take them to the ceremony.

This is taken inside because it is now raining lightly outside.

At about 10 past 4 we took Claire and Andy out for some photos around Richmond. It is still raining a bit.

Just ten minutes later and there’s no rain and the sun is coming out.

This is just half an hour after the rain.

But 20 minutes later there is the heaviest downpour we’ve ever seen at a wedding.

But while it threw it down outside we were all inside listening to some very funny speeches.

One of great things about dramatic weather is that after it all you can get some dramatic sunsets.

We are always delighted with the dance shots at Ham Polo Club. Andy and Claire’s first dance started off elegant and romantic and gradually got very, very funky! It was brilliant; absolutely brilliant!

Tim & Philippa’s pre-wedding photography

Every now and then, one of our couples asks us for an engagement photo shoot or pre-wedding photography session. We think it’s an excellent way of building trust in how we can all work together on the wedding day.

We had a great time on Thursday with Tim & Philippa who are getting married in October. They love to go for walks alongside this part of the canal so it seemed like a natural place to go to take some photos of them.
