Tim & Laura’s Wedding at Gate Street Barn near Guildford, Surrey

What a difference a week makes!! The weather for Tim & Laura’s wedding at Gate Street Barn on Saturday was so much better than the previous week’s.

We’ve been looking forward to shooting Tim & Laura’s wedding for a few months now. Tim is Emily’s brother whose wedding to Pete we photographed a few years ago. We also know Tim & Laura through Paul & Jen because we shot their wedding too. So there were quite a few friends at the wedding that it was great to catch up with.

Here are a few of our favourites. Special mentions have to go to Gill Pike for the perfect flowers and Nicolas Stow (Cars for All Occasions) for driving us around to get photos amongst the bluebells.

Jamayne & Jade’s Wedding at the Dome Cinema, Worthing, West Sussex

It was sooooo difficult to choose our favourites from our friends Jamayne & Jade’s wedding last Saturday. As they’re both so photogenic we could have included any photo with either Jamayne or Jade in it. Which doesn’t narrow it down much.

So here are a few of our favourite favourites.

Initially, because the weather was so dull, we a bit concerned about if we’d have a chance to shoot outside at all. But in the end, the stormy rain clouds added to the drama of our photos in the rapeseed field. Other great photo opportunities were the Austin Healey that best man Aidan got the couple to drive around in and when Jamayne played in the band and sang to his wife at the end of the evening. (How romantic is that? And Richard thought he was doing well in booking Hever Castle! (See previous post.))

Altogether Saturday was a tremendous day for us both photographically and socially as we were able spend time with Jamayne & Jade and to catch up with many of our other dear friends including Steph & Si and Jake & Emily.

Hever Castle Wedding Anniversary

To celebrate our 18th wedding anniversary we had a couple of days away at Hever Castle. They’ve just started to offer 5 star bed and breakfast at the Castle and it was brilliant. We were able to meander around the castle and grounds and totally chill out.

The weather was pretty dull but that didn’t stop us from taking one or two photos.

Now Richard’s wondering how he can arrange something for next year to top this!

Tosin & Mose’s Wedding at Syon Park House, London

One of the main reasons we love our job is because of the wonderful people that we meet. Everyone that we met on Saturday, without exception, was a real pleasure to have met, to have known, and to have photographed. From the first moment we started work we felt that everyone was on our side so that despite the cold, windy and very wet weather we got some great photos. We’re really pleased with this selection of some of our favourite images.

We also would like to say a huge well done to the wedding caterers Tapenade. Through circumstances beyond anyone’s control (traffic, roadworks, football and the weather) the wedding was running late. But Sophie, Gemma and the whole team at Tapenade managed to recover about an hour, while still providing excellent service and yummy food. Thank you so much.

Also, it was great to work again with videographer Russell from I do Weddings. Check out their website to see more of their work.
